Eligibility for CSIR NET Examination
Any science stream candidate who have finished Post Graduation in subjects like Physical Sciences ,Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences or Earth Sciences are eligible to appear in the CSIR NET examination provided the candidate have scored requisite percentage in their aggregate marks in their Master”s Program respectively.
CSIR NET Exams patten
3 Hours Single Paper CSIR NET Exams are held in Objective type format in which each subject carry a maximum of 200 Marks. The question papers are divided into 3 parts namely Part-A, Part-B & Part-C.
Out of the 5 subjects in which CSIR NET Exams are held Part-A will be common for all the candidates
Part-A 20 questions of General Aptitude are asked out of which 15 question (each carrying 2 Marks) are to be attempted.So altogether a maximum of 30 Marks are assigned for Part-A.
Part-B comprise of candidate’s own subject which is again objective type in nature. In this section the total number of questions varies varies between 20 to 35 in numbers & comprise of maximum of 70 Marks.
Part-C Section of the exams are again subject based & are meant to test the scientific temper & analytical abilities of a candidate.This section comprise of 100 Marks.
Note: In all the sections of the exam Part-A,B & C there will be negative marking.
